Starting April 1, 2013, de Souza Institute is now offering a number of its courses to health care professionals that care for cancer or palliative patients.
On International Nurses' Day, de Souza Institute launched Canada’s first mobile course in nursing education. The eHealth Nursing and Oncology mobile course is for anyone interested in learning the history of technology in healthcare, ethics and standards in healthcare technology, future of medical technology- including nanotechnology, robotics, wearable computing; and finally social media in healthcare. The course consists of 4 modules and each module takes approximately 20-30 minutes to complete.
The 2012 Summer Institute of Clinical Health Research is an intensive one week program covering the principles and applications of conducting Clinical Health Research. The sessions will be taught by well known research clinicians from University of Toronto and University of Windsor. Topics included qualitative health research, quantitative health research such as case control, cohort research and clinical trials design, as well as the principles of data analysis and interpretation.
