• Registered Nurse, Wellington Health Care Alliance (October 13) Completion of de Souza Provincial Standardized Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Course mandatory. Certification must be active and in good standing. Completion of de Souza Foundations in Oncology Nursing Practice preferred. Minimum of 2 years of recent (within the last 3 years) experience in systemic chemotherapy administration.
• Nurse Navigator, Oncology Survivorship, Peterborough Regional Health Centre (October 13) Must have five years of recent clinical nursing experience in administration and management of Systemic Chemotherapy and clinical assessment in Oncology. Completion of the Patient Navigation course (de Souza Institute) preferred.
• Manager of Clinical Practice, Bayshore HealthCare (October 9) Must have minimum 5 years of progressive leadership or supervisory nursing experience (community setting preferred). Specialty nursing certifications (e.g., CNA, LEAP, de Souza) are an asset.
• Health Care Social Worker (Masters), Nova Scotia Health Authority (October 7) Must have minimum two years full-time clinical experience required; within a health-care setting preferred. Oncology and palliative care experience considered an asset. Must be a graduate of a recognized Palliative Care course (Pallium Canada – LEAP Core; de Souza Institute – Education in Palliative Care; Interprofessional Psychosocial Oncology). If not available, willingness to obtain as soon as possible.
• Registered Nurse, Michael Garron Hospital (September 21) Must have 2-3 years recent experience in Oncology and Cancer Therapy. Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a primary nurse in an ambulatory clinic environment preferred. Must have either completion of de Souza Institute’s Provincial Standardized Chemotherapy and Biotherapy certificate program, or the ONS Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration certificate.
• Registered Nurse, North Wellington Health Care (September 10) Completion of de Souza Provincial Standardized Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Course or ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate Course mandatory. Completion of de Souza Foundations in Oncology Nursing Practice preferred.
