Susan Blacker has more than 20 years of experience as a clinical social worker, educator and leader in the field of cancer and palliative care. She presently is the Senior Director, Cancer and Palliative Program Planning and Performance at Sinai Health System in Toronto, Ontario. Previously she was the Director, Cancer Services Planning and Performance at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, Ontario.

Susan holds an appointment as Adjunct Professor in the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work and is the Quality Co-Lead for the Division of Palliative Care in the Faculty of Medicine at University of Toronto.

Susan is a founding board member of Social Work Hospice Palliative Care Network (SWHPN), and was the 2013 recipient of the Canadian Association of Psychosocial Oncology Education Excellence Award.
