Congratulations Valrie Hursefield, our latest de Souza APN Designate!

de Souza Institute is pleased to announce Valrie Hursefield as our 3rd de Souza APN Designate!

With 15 years of experience, Valrie is a Clinical Nurse Educator in Palliative Care Medicine at William Osler Health System in Etobicoke. It is especially fitting that Valrie is obtaining the designation before World Palliative Care Day, October 11th 2014. She is a shining example of nursing excellence in hospice palliative care.

CANO Nurse of the Year Nominees

Nurses from the de Souza learning community are nominated for CANO’s Nurse of the Year Award

Each year, the Canadian Association of Nurses in Oncology (CANO-ACIO) receives nominations from patients, professionals and the community across Canada for the Boehringer Ingelheim Oncology Nurse of the Year Award. The award signifies an oncology nurse’s unique ability to deliver the highest level of nursing excellence and leadership.
